WACSI 2025 Response And Resilience Strengthening Programme for Civil Society Organisations in Ghana and Liberia

WACSI 2025 Response And Resilience Strengthening Programme for Civil Society Organisations in Ghana and Liberia

Between 2020 and 2022, the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), with funding from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF), trained organisations in Guinea, Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone on diverse ways of raising resources, to be more sustainable and responsive to conservation policies in their countries. This year, the Institute targets 14 organisations in Ghana and Liberia working on conservation advocacy to further equip them with skills and methods of influencing policy and increasing their resource mobilisation base through the Response and Resilience Strengthening Programme for civil society organisations in Ghana and Liberia.

The programme consists of training, coaching and learning phases. It will address the technological barriers to the responsiveness and effectiveness of civil society organisations’ engagement in conservation, in Ghana and Liberia. It is a needs-based training that targets sustainability, resilience and efficiency. It will also curate learnings across country partners and enable organisations to speak to and influence conservation policy.
