The Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS) at the University of Ghana (UG) is accepting applications for the award of the 2022-2023 German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarships to pursue Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Population Studies.

Masters Scholarships

Aim and Benefits of Masters Scholarships

The DAAD scholarship will cover tuition, stipends and accommodation for one-year Master of Arts (MA) students.

Requirements for Masters Scholarships Qualification

• Applicants must have successfully completed generally a three-year/four-year university degree and obtained above average results (minimum of second class upper division)
• clearly show motivation and strong commitment
• have thorough knowledge of the language of instruction
• have completed their last university degree not more than 6 years ago at the time of application
• must be nationals or permanent resident of a Sub-Sahara African country
• should generally be a staff member of a public university, b) candidate
  considered for teaching or research staff recruitment, c) from the public sector
