Turkey opens the doors of its universities for international students from all around the world with “Türkiye Scholarships”. Türkiye Scholarships is a government-funded, competitive scholarship program, awarded to outstanding students to pursue full-time or short-term program at the top universities in Turkey.

Türkiye Undergraduate Scholarships

Aim and Benefits of Türkiye Undergraduate Scholarships

1. University and program placement

2. Monthly Stipend: 800 TL per month

3. Tuition Fee

4. Once-off Return Flight Ticket

5. Health Insurance

6. Accommodation

7. One year Turkish Language Course

Length of award: 1 year Turkish Language course + 4-6 years (depending on the normal duration of the program)

Requirements for Türkiye Undergraduate Scholarships Qualification

Basic Criteria for Applying

1. Minimum Academic Criteria: Minimum academic achievement for Bachelor’s degree applicants: 70%
2. Age Criteria: To be under the age of 21 for Undergraduate programs 

Eligible Groups:

1. Citizens of all countries

2. Graduates or applicants who are able to graduate at the end of the current academic year (before September 2019)

3. Researchers and academicians

Interview date, Process and Venue for Türkiye Undergraduate Scholarships

Türkiye Scholarships applications are assessed on the basis of academic success, extra-curricular activities and other professional credentials of the candidate. In the evaluation process of the applications, candidates will be evaluated based on their eligibility to the application criteria of the program applied for as well as their academic and social achievements.

Documents Required for Application

All candidates must submit the following documents during online application:

1. A valid National Identification Document OR a valid Passport
2. A recent Photo of the candidate (Please note that the photo you upload into the Application system must be a proper portrait of yourself, candidate photos which are not identifiable will undermine the evaluation of your application)
3. National exam scores (required for candidates who do not possess any international qualification or certification)
4. Diploma or temporary certificate of Graduation
5. Academic transcripts (online screenshots and uncertified transcripts will undermine the evaluation of your application)
6. International exam scores (GRE, GMAT, DELF, YDS, YÖS …etc. if required by the chosen university & program)
7. Language test scores (if required by the chosen university & program)
8. A research proposal and an example of your written work (for PhD applicants only)

Application Deadline

How to Apply

Applications can only be made individually through the link below by the candidates. There are no institutions or persons authorized to apply for Türkiye Scholarships. 

1. Candidates are strongly advised to carefully read the instructions and warnings in the application system.

2. Applicants are required to submit and upload the necessary documents to the application system.

3. Applications delivered by post, courier, or by hand will not be accepted.

4. ?Applications are free of charge. Please do not entertain any third party institutions or persons who offer to make an application on behalf of you in exchange for a fee.

5. Türkiye Scholarships include both scholarship and university placement at the same time. Applicants will be placed in a university and program among their 12 preferences which they choose in the application system
