Applications are now open for the 2025 Defence Science and Technology Scholarship for Continuing Students at Flinders University. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students in the second and subsequent years of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Systems and Security) or a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a Systems and Security major.

Each scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum for up to three years. The scholarship will be paid in instalments of $5,000 each semester, subject to the recipient maintaining eligibility. Up to 20 scholarships will be available per year whilst funding permits.

Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit.
Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration Services.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System by the specified closing date. Please ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System as you will be assessed using this information.
