The Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships recognize exceptional international postgraduate researchers who enhance the university’s dynamic global research community. For 2026/27 Chancellor's Scholarships will be awarded to the most outstanding International PhD applicants.

PhD Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of PhD Scholarship

• The full payment of tuition fees
• A maintenance stipend paid at the prevailing UKRI rate for 3.5 years
• A Research, Training and Supporting Grant (RTSG) of £5,000.
• For eligible scholars, the opportunity to apply for financial support towards the cost of immigration to the UK.
• Paid short term, family and medical leave options.

Requirements for PhD Scholarship Qualification

Applicants must:

• Apply for a PhD at the University of Warwick to begin in October 2026;
• Be from any discipline at Warwick.

Scholarships cannot be deferred to the next academic year.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

• Read the Applicant Guidance Notes and PGR Ranking Criteria.
• Submit your course application and upload supporting documents.
• Receive an automated e-mail with a 7 digit applicant ID number. Please allow at least 48 hours for this to arrive.
• Register your ITS applicant account.
• Submit your scholarship application by the application deadline. We regret being unable to accept late applications for any reason.
• Submit supporting documents by the supporting document deadline. We regret being unable to accept late supporting documents for any reason.

• Course Application Deadline - 8 December 2025 16:59 (GMT)
• Scholarship Application Deadline - 11 December 2025 16:59 (GMT)

Please note no late applications will be accepted.

• Results of the Chancellor's Scholarship competition will be communicated through email by the start of February 2026.
