Applications for the Government Analytics Fellowship 2027 are now OPEN

Do you want to lead change and drive innovation within your government? The World Bank invites dedicated public servants to apply for the 2027 Government Analytics Fellowship.

This fellowship focuses on enhancing government efficiency by utilizing underused data for informed decision-making. Participants receive training and expert support from the World Bank and University College London to develop a Government Analytics project. The fellowship helps participants drive systemic changes within government operations by translating data into actionable insights.

The Government Analytics Fellowship aims to strengthen the capacity of government officials to use government data to improve administrative functioning and decision-making. Building on the pioneering Government Analytics Handbook, the Fellowship provides participants with the knowledge, tools, and support to turn government data into actionable insights and develop projects that address real institutional challenges.

Fellowship tracks

  1. Online-only: A self-paced virtual experience designed to provide greater accessibility and flexibility for government officials balancing their professional responsibilities.
  2. Immersive In-person: Designed for fellows who can dedicate substantial time and effort to developing and completing a government analytics project. This track will competitively select a small cohort of government officials with strategically relevant projects who are willing and able to commit to an intensive six-month program. This commitment should be both individually and institutional support.
  3. Regional hub: Where World Bank will hold more localized fellowships centered around regional hubs.
