• 1 scholarship of $10,000

University of Laval Postgraduate Scholarship Courses

• Medicine

Requirements for University of Laval Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

Student candidate:

• Be admitted or have submitted an application for admission for the first time in fall 2025, winter 2026 or summer 2026 in a postgraduate program of the Faculty of Medicine of Laval University, with obtaining of his master's degree or equivalent;
• The research project must focus on HIV/AIDS;
• Do not benefit from any nominative scholarship over $15,000. However, the student undertakes to apply for scholarships to other organizations;
• Scholarships are not transferable to another program, faculty, university or applicant.

University record:

• Excellence in academic record considering the diploma or diplomas serving as the basis for admission to the doctorate (minimum average of 3.00/4.33);
• Scholarships, prizes and distinctions.

Abilities and experiences:

• Other research projects, publications, conferences and presentations.

Research project

• Clarity and conciseness of the project description, hypothesis and objectives;
• Method, analysis;
• Originality and feasibility;
• Contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Laval Postgraduate Scholarship

• Applications will be evaluated by members of the selection committee of the Vice-Deanship for Studies.

Documents Required for Application

When submitting, you will need to include the following documents in your form:

• Copy of university degrees;
• Copy of university transcripts (capsule accepted);
• Letter of support from researcher (1 to 2 pages maximum).

The absence of one of these parts results rejection from the scholarship application.
