Adelaide University Undergraduate Scholarship
Aim and Benefits of Adelaide University Undergraduate Scholarship
- $5,000, payable in two equal instalments of $2,500 direct to the student following Semester 1 and 2.

Requirements for Adelaide University Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
- Be from an international background.
- Be enrolled in an eligible pharmacy or pharmaceutical science program.
- Be a commencing or continuing full-time student.
- Not previously been awarded this scholarship
- Be a student who is experiencing financial need.
- Submit a written statement supporting their application.
- Preference may be given to applicants who are not in receipt of another scholarship or grant.
The eligible programs are:
- Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)
- Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science‚ Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)
An international background may be one of the following:
- International student.
- Students from a refugee or humanitarian background.
- Recent migrant (within last five years).
A refugee background is considered to be a person who has held‚ currently holds or has made an application for a protection visa.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Adelaide University Undergraduate Scholarship
Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) outlining:
- Reasons for studying their Adelaide University pharmacy or pharmaceutical science program and how the degree supports their aspirations including career goals.
- Details of status as an international student‚ person of refugee background or recent migrant.
- Financial circumstances to enable the selection panel to assess financial need.
- Academic achievements
- Work history‚ community involvement and extracurricular activities.
- The name of any scholarships or grants currently held (or where an application is pending).
The scholarship is aimed at students in financial need. Applicants in receipt of a means tested benefit from Centrelink should provide a copy of their most recent income statement. All applicants should address the aspect of financial need in their written statement.
Important information
- Previous recipients of the scholarship are disqualified from reapplying in future years (students may receive the scholarship on only one occasion).
- Recipients will receive a scholarship valued at $5‚000 provided they continue to be enrolled and maintain satisfactory academic merit.
