Brunel University of London Commonwealth Shared Scholarship (External Scholarship) 2026/27

Brunel University of London proudly supports the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship programme.

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are for candidates from least developed, low, and lower middle income Commonwealth countries, for full time Master's study on selected courses.

2 scholarships will be awarded at Brunel University of London to applicants registering on one of the following courses:

• LLM Artificial Intelligence, Law and Technology
• MSc Renewable Energy Engineering

Brunel University of London Masters Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Brunel University of London Masters Scholarship

• Full tuition fee waiver
• Induction/ orientation fee (N/A)
• Return travel fares
• Visas and associated fees
• Family allowances
• Disability allowance
• Study travel grant
• Thesis grant
• Monthly stipend of £1,781 per scholar
• Warm clothing allowance of £563 per scholar.

Requirements for Brunel University of London Masters Scholarship Qualification

To be considered for these scholarships, candidates must:

• Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country.
• Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
• Be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2026.
• By September 2026, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
• Not have studied or worked for more than one (academic) year or more in a high income country
• Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
• Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.

Applications are considered according to the following selection criteria:

• Academic merit of the candidate
• Quality of the research proposal
• Potential impact of the work on the development of the candidate's home country.
