College of Business, Government and Law Honours Bursary 2025

The College of Business, Government and Law has established an Honours Bursary to provide financial assistance to an undergraduate student undertaking an Honours program in the College of Business, Government and Law.  Up to four bursaries will be available annually, subject to available funding.

College of Business, Government and Law Honours Bursary

Aim and Benefits of College of Business, Government and Law Honours Bursary

Each bursary will have a value of $5000 paid in equal instalments after the census date of each semester. The number of bursaries will depend on the funding available.

Requirements for College of Business, Government and Law Honours Bursary Qualification

Applicants must:

• Have completed an undergraduate degree, or be completing an undergraduate degree, or completing the first three years of a four-year degree; and
• Be accepted into a 36 unit Honours program, or the final 36 units of a four year Honours program in the College of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University for the specified academic year; and
• Enrolled full-time*; and
• In receipt of a means tested Commonwealth income support payment or be able to demonstrate financial hardship.

*Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata.

Interview date, Process and Venue for College of Business, Government and Law Honours Bursary

Where there are more eligible applicants than bursaries available, the bursary will be awarded based on academic merit. Selection will be undertaken by a panel comprising representatives from the College of Business, Government and Law, in conjunction with Student Finance and Scholarships.

Bursary recipients shall submit a final written report to the College of Business, Government and Law on their Honours research project within one month of completion.
