The Lincoln McCashney Memorial Scholarship is awarded to recognise an Education student who demonstrates the qualities that made the late Lincoln McCashney such an outstanding teacher, educator and mentor to many ECU students, thereby encouraging the development of those qualities and honouring Lincoln’s contribution to education in WA.

- The scholarship is valued at up to $5,000 as a one-off payment.

Requirements for Lincoln McCashney Memorial Scholarship Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or International student;
- have an academic progression status of GREEN;
- be enrolled in a Bachelor of Education and be on track to complete a minimum of 360 credit points by end of Semester 2, 2026;
- be studying a minimum of 30 credit points; and
- have a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 60%

Applications can be made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.
Applicants can either nominate themselves via the or be nominated by a Sessional Teacher, a practicum teacher, fellow student or community member.
- Applicants who nominate themselves must submit:
- a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the below criteria and;
- a personal written reference endorsing their application.
- If nominating a student you must submit a statement of no more than 500 words on why the student meets the below criteria. You will need to advise the nominee to submit the application along with the provided statement through the applicant portal.
