Flinders University 2022 Business, Government and Law Reconciliation Scholarship for Indigenous Research

The College of Business, Government and Law has established the Indigenous Research Honours Scholarship to promote reconciliation by furthering understanding and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, knowledge and rights through related research projects.

The scholarships are funded by the College of Business, Government and Law and will continue whilst there is sufficient funding.

Business, Government and Law Reconciliation Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Business, Government and Law Reconciliation Scholarship

Each scholarship will have a value of $5000 which will be paid in equal instalments of $2,500 after the census date of each semester. The number of scholarships will depend on the funding available.


Requirements for Business, Government and Law Reconciliation Scholarship Qualification

Applicants must:

  • be currently completing or have completed an undergraduate degree; and
  • be accepted into an Honours program, or the final 36 units of a four year Honours program in the College of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University in the areas listed above for the specified academic year; and
  • commencing an Honours research project in one or more of the five critical dimensions identified by Reconciliation Australia: race relations; equality and equity, institutional integrity; unity; and historical acceptance.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Business, Government and Law Reconciliation Scholarship

The Scholarship will be awarded based on:

  • academic merit; and
  • the relevance and quality of the proposed Honours research project.

Selection will be made by a Committee within the College of Business, Government and Law.

Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student Management System. Applicants will need to login and navigate to the My Scholarships tab to submit an application.
