The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students in the second and subsequent years of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Systems and Security) or a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a Systems and Security major.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Each scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum for up to three years. The scholarship will be paid in instalments of $5,000 each semester, subject to the recipient maintaining eligibility. Up to 20 scholarships will be available per year whilst funding permits.
Scholarship applicants must:
• Be an Australian citizen; and
• Be enrolled in the second or subsequent year of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Systems and Security), or a Bachelor of Engineering degree majoring in Systems and Security; and
• Normally enrolled full-time at Flinders University; and
• Have a GPA of 5.0 or above.
Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata.
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit.
Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration Services.
