Flinders University 2025 Hayes Dinnie Honours Scholarship

Established in 2025, the Hayes Dinnie Scholarship has been established to support honours students undertaking research projects on the awareness and management of lymphoedema.

The Hayes Dinnie Scholarship has been kindly funded by Beryl Hayes, in memory of her late husband, James Dinnie. A breast cancer survivor living with lymphoedema, Beryl’s support addresses the need for more research to drive awareness and management of lymphoedema, a debilitating condition that can occur following treatment for breast cancer as well as gynaecological cancers.

Aim and Benefits of Hayes Dinnie Honours Scholarship

The scholarship will have a value of $5,000, to be paid in equal instalments after the census date of each semester. One scholarship per year will be available, subject to availability of funding.


Requirements for Hayes Dinnie Honours Scholarship Qualification

Applicants for the Scholarship must:

  • Be commencing an honours program on a project focused on lymphoedema awareness and management; and
  • Normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit and the applicant’s interest in pursuing research in lymphoedema awareness and management.
