Flinders University 2025 Resthaven Indigenous Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

Applications are now open for the Flinders University 2025 Resthaven Indigenous Scholarship. A generous donation from Resthaven Inc has enabled the establishment of the Resthaven Indigenous Scholarship from 2017.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Indigenous students and encourage a future workforce which has sensitive capability to meet the needs of older Australians regardless of their background or ethnicity.

About Flinders University

Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Aim and Benefits of Resthaven Indigenous Scholarship

Each scholarship will have a value of $2500 per annum for two years. One scholarship per year will be available subject to funding. 


Requirements for Resthaven Indigenous Scholarship Qualification

Applicants must:

  • Be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
  • Be enrolling in at least the second year of an undergraduate degree or any year of a postgraduate degree with Flinders University;  
  • Normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University; and
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress; and
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in aged care and older Australians as a career and/or in their studies.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Resthaven Indigenous Scholarship

Selection Criteria

The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and demonstrated interest in aged care services and older Australians either through their studies or work experience.

Preference, in the first instance, will be given to undergraduate students studying in the following areas: design and technology innovation, nursing, nutrition and dietetics, speech pathology, social work, psychology or theology.

Please ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System as you will be assessed using this information.
