The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Flinders University will be offering Student Research Experience Awards of 4 to 6 weeks duration to undergraduate students from December 2024 until the end of June 2025.
These awards will provide students with an opportunity to gain an insight into research by participating in a research project under the supervision of a member of staff. As a part of the award, the student will gain valuable hands-on experience in the planning, conduct and analysis of research in their chosen field.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. The Awards will be of up to $1,500 for an approximately 4 – 6 week research project to be undertaken between December 2024 and end of June 2025. The award payment will be paid in a single lump sum payment on commencement of the project. The timing will be agreed on acceptance of the award.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact a prospective supervisor, either by email or in person, prior to applying to confirm their availability and willingness to host the student. Students may only submit one application. Up to three projects may be nominated in order of preference on the application.
