The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students commencing the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Systems and Security).
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Each scholarship is valued at $10,000. The scholarship will be paid in instalments of $5,000 after the census date of each semester, subject to the recipient maintaining eligibility. Up to 10 scholarships will be available per year whilst funding permits.
Scholarship Applicants must:
Students who are enrolled part-time as a result of exceptional circumstances will be considered. Exceptional circumstances may include (but is not limited to) disability, illness or carer responsibilities. Pro-rata benefits will be paid in these instances.
Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata.
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit. Eligible scholarship applicants will be ranked according to their ATAR, GPA or other entry pathway. If there is more than one student sharing the highest ATAR or equivalent entry pathway, results in specific school subjects may be taken into consideration.
Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with approved procedures.
