FHMRI Sleep Health, situated in the College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University is offering a three-year PhD scholarship for full time research in sleep health. Research foci at the FHMRI Sleep Health has international collaborations and is undertaken by multidisciplinary teams. By combining clinical, physiology, psychology, epidemiology and engineering expertise we are ideally placed to design and translate novel and practical diagnostic and treatment approaches to address the major burden of sleep problems in the community.
Prospective students will have trained in a relevant field such as health sciences, engineering or medicine, will have excellent communication skills and a keen interest in sleep research. The PhD student will focus on research as agreed with a prospective supervisor and will be based at FHMRI Sleep Health. The scholarship is open to students wishing to commence or continue a PhD in January 2025 and is valued at AUD $33,990 (2024 full time rate) per annum (tax free). The scholarship will be awarded for a maximum of three years. Additional funding for conference and research support is available from College research support schemes and by application to the FHMRI Sleep Health Travel Fund.
Domestic students will receive a Research Training Program Tuition Fee Offset scholarship.
