- Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance

As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.  

Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.

Please note INTERPOL does not establish or endorse internship agreements with universities or academic institutions. Internship arrangements and communication are made solely between INTERPOL and the individual selected for the internship.

PRIMARY DUTIES

The role of GORS is to support and enhance the operational capabilities of member countries. The Directorate’s main functions are:

• Support and coordination for NCBs;
• Coordinate the activities of the Regional Bureaus and Liaison Offices;
• Coordinate the implementation of cooperate agreements with regional bodies or entities;
• Implementation of the recommendations from statutory regional conferences and business plans for the regions.

Throughout this internship the selected applicant will provide support to the Directorate and its activities by:

• Assisting in the processing, typing and formatting of correspondence and documentation arising from the work of Directorate in the languages required for the post.
• Assisting in the preparation and organization of international meetings, conferences, including the preparation of agendas, detailed programmes, participants' lists, and will provide assistance to the delegates etc.
• Assisting in the preparation and organization of project related activities and project reporting
• Be able to participate in meetings and conferences when necessary, obtaining feedback from them, making essential notes and content that may be useful to your manager or directorate, as well as providing linguistic assistance.
• Assisting in the preparation of statistical information as requested in the form of reports and charts concerning the activities of the directorate.
• Carry out any other duty assigned by the supervisor

Working on different on-going projects, the selected applicant will receive guidance and support in relation to all his/her job requirements: 

• Experience in dealing with multiple tasks from different directions.
• Familiarization with new languages.
• Experience in the organization of different events and minute taking
• Experience in project related activities and project life cycle
• Experience in Microsoft office tools.

Requirements for INTERPOL Internship Internship Qualification

Eligibility

• Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196-member countries.
• Have attained the legal age of majority in their country of nationality.

Training / Education required

• Be enrolled in, or have graduated from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution within the past one year on the date of submission of their application in Business Administration, International Relations, Information Technology, Law
• Masters level would be an asset.

Languages

• Professional fluency in English and Arabic is required.
• A good command of any other INTERPOL official languages (Spanish, French) would be considered an asset

Technical/Soft skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required.
• Ability to take initiative
• Ability to work in a multicultural team

• If selected, you will be required to produce a certificate of non-criminal records (including spent and unspent sentences pronounced by justice) from your country of nationality and from any other country in which you have resided for more than 12 months in the past five years. If you are considered at a further stage of the selection process (interview) we advise you to familiarize yourself with the procedure for requesting such documentation in the concerned countries so that, if accepted, your arrival to the Organization is not unnecessarily delayed.
