Flinders University Vice-Chancellor Domestic Academic Excellence Scholarship 2024

Flinders University has established this scholarship to support high achieving students commencing undergraduate courses at Flinders University. Up to ten scholarships will be available per annum.

Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Aim and Benefits of Vice-Chancellor Domestic Academic Excellence Scholarship

The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum for up to four years. The scholarship will be paid in instalments of $5,000 each semester subject to the recipient maintaining eligibility.


Requirements for Vice-Chancellor Domestic Academic Excellence Scholarship Qualification

Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident of Australia or permanent humanitarian visa holder; and
  • Be applying via SATAC to commence an undergraduate course at Flinders University as a Commonwealth Supported Student; and
  • Have an eligible course as their first application preference; and
  • Have completed year 12 in the year prior to commencing University study;
  • Have an ATAR of 99.5 or above (excluding adjustment factors), or equivalent year 12 score.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be awarded based on academic merit, using the applicant’s university entrance score.

Selection of the candidate(s) will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration.

January 3, 2024


How to Apply

An application for an eligible course will constitute an application for the scholarship. Applicants who have an eligible Flinders University course as their first SATAC preference in time for the first offer round will be considered for this scholarship.
