AGAUR manages the call for general scholarships for university studies (GRAL), published annually by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
People pursuing official undergraduate and/or master's degree courses at a university in Catalonia and at the UOC.

The call sets three income thresholds that determine the amounts eligible.
The minimum aid is the tuition grant. Beyond this, other amounts can be added and awarded directly. It is not necessary to specifically request which grants or amounts you want.
Scholarships and amounts that can be awarded:
Tuition scholarship . This consists of exemption from the public tuition fee for academic services for credits enrolled for the first time, in accordance with the conditions established in the call for applications.
Additional amount for students with family residence in the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta, or Melilla.
General requirements
In the case of European Union citizens or their family members, they will be required to be permanent residents or to prove that they are self-employed or employed in Spain. These requirements will not be required to obtain the tuition grant.
If you are not a citizen of the European Union, you must have a residence permit in Spain, i.e., a NIE/TIE (Foreigner Identification Card). A student permit is not valid. This requirement must be met by December 31, 2024.
Exceptionally, in the case of students with refugee status or subsidiary protection, a legal residence permit may be obtained until June 30, 2025.
Not having, at the time of applying for the scholarship, a qualification of a level equal to or higher than the level of the studies for which the scholarship is being requested.

Academic requirements
- First-year students (all branches of knowledge) to qualify for the tuition grant and other amounts:
- Second-year students and beyond to qualify for the tuition grant and other amounts:
Architecture and Engineering Branch: 65%.
Science Branch: 65%.
Arts and Humanities Branch: 90%.
Social and Legal Sciences Branch: 90%.
Health Sciences Branch: 80%.
- In all cases, the restrictions established in the call for applications for non-compliance with other requirements (general and/or financial) must be taken into account. These restrictions also apply to partial enrollment, completely distance learning, supplementary training, final degree projects, and the university entrance course for persons over 25 years of age.
