About University of Western Australia (UWA)

University of Western Australia International Fee Scholarships (UIFS) are scholarships available to support international students enrolled in higher degrees by research (HDR) at The University of Western Australia ('the University'). The Research Training Program (RTP) is a dedicated pool of funding provided by the Australian Government under the Higher Education Support Act 2003 to support domestic and international students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Master degrees. Aim and Benefits of Goodeve UWA Connect Scholarship

Recipients of the UWA Connect Scholarship will receive:

• $5,000 per annum for 3 years for Undergraduate study and an additional year for Honours if applicable.
• $1,500 up front payment in their first year for assistance with commencing study at UWA.

Participation in a wrap-around support program so students can take full advantage of their time at UWA.

Requirements for Goodeve UWA Connect Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must-

1. Be a commencing domestic student;
2. Have applied to enrol into a Bachelors Degree
3. Have or are currently facing challenging circumstances.

Challenging circumstances can include, but are not limited to:

• Coming from a low socioeconomic status area;
• Living in regional or remote area;
• Is an Australian Indigenous person;
• Medical condition/disability that impacts study;
• First in family;
• Other financial disadvantaged or challenging circumstances.
