The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung internship, in partnership with SAIIA, offers a unique opportunity for candidates to pursue a Master’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Economics, Law, Journalism, or related fields at selected South African universities. The program provides a full bursary for tuition fees, a monthly stipend for living costs, and practical experience working at SAIIA’s Johannesburg or Cape Town offices. Aim and Benefits of Konrad Adenauer Foundation SAIIA Scholarships

Konrad Adenauer Foundation SAIIA Scholarships Courses
Requirements for Konrad Adenauer Foundation SAIIA Scholarships Qualification
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be under the age of 30.
- Candidates must meet the entry requirements for a Master’s degree at the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University, or the University of the Western Cape.
- Applicants may apply to either the Johannesburg or Cape Town internship programs, but not both.
- Prospective scholars should carefully review SAIIA’s research offerings to align with their chosen university and internship office.
- Students who have already completed the first year of their Master’s program are not eligible.
- Applications must be submitted by 21 September 2024.
- Candidates should note any uncertainties regarding their university application status in their cover letter.
