Newcastle University offers partial scholarship awards to encourage North American athletes (or those with NCAA or NAIA playing experience) to undertake Master’s level study.
Newcastle University (Officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England. The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871. Awards have a value of up to £16,000 payable to the student’s tuition fee account (up to 60% fee reduction) and include a comprehensive support package including:
Applicants should ideally have NCAA D1- D3 or NAIA playing experience in one of the following sports: Basketball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Women’s Soccer, Waterpolo.
They must also be:
- Masters - MA; MBA; MClinRes; MEd; MMedEd; LLM; LLM (by research); MLitt; MPH; MRes; MSc; MScL
- Postgraduate Certificates and Postgraduate Diplomas.
