Stephen Riady Young Entrepreneur Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Stephen Riady Young Entrepreneur Scholarship

• Subsidised tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant subsidy)
• S$6,000 annual living allowance
• S$2,000 one-time computer allowance upon enrolment
• Guaranteed Student Exchange Programme (SEP) placement with one of NUS overseas partner universities for one semester
• Priority to be considered for on-campus accommodation for the first two years of undergraduate studies, as long as a complete hostel admission application is submitted by the second round of application window each year, and eligibility criteria for on-campus accommodation are met. This priority applies only to halls of residence, houses and student residences, and not to residential colleges
• Guaranteed NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) internship programme placement, provided an NOC application is submitted within the prescribed application period, and minimum criteria for participation in an NOC programme are fulfilled
• Eligibility to apply for up to S$50,000 seed funding to start one business venture within six months of graduation, provided the business proposal is submitted and assessed as viable by NUS. The proposal must demonstrate at least some degree of innovation and incorporate elements of technology in the product or solution
• Bond-free scholarship

Requirements for Stephen Riady Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Qualification

• Singapore Citizens
• Have strong leadership qualities and potential
• Have good co-curricular activities record
• Possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Level, local Polytechnic Diploma, International Baccalaureate Diploma, NUS High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS, excluding Dentistry, Medicine and Music 
• Transfer applicants from local or overseas universities are not eligible
