Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology is inviting interested applicants for the 2021 OIST Research Internship Program in Japan.  All International Students from all over the world are eligible to apply for Japan Internship program. The OIST Internship in Japan will be at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST).

This internship is Fully Funded. All Cost will be Covered in Japan Internship Program. The Duration of the OIST Internship will be between 2 & 6 months, Normally 10 to 12 weeks. There will be No Extension. Students from all over the world are eligible to apply for the Japan Internship program. 

This is a paid internship in Japan. The internship Japan for international students is a Great Opportunity to complete Summer Internship in Japan & explore & they will see the Door open towards their Future Career. The Undergraduate & Graduate Students can apply for the OIST Internship in Japan.

About Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST)

The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University is a private, interdisciplinary graduate school located in Onna, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. OIST Research Internship Program

Aim and Benefits of OIST Research Internship Program

All cost of the Selected participants will be covered Under OIST internship. This is a paid internship in Japan

1. Roundtrip Airfare travel Tickets for successful applicants is arranged by the OIST Graduate School.
2. Insurance
3. Visa support
4. On or off-campus housing accommodation
5. Commuting support
6. Allowance (Stipend) – 2,400 JPY per day (taxable).

Requirements for OIST Research Internship Program Qualification

The Following Eligibility Criteria will be Consider for OIST internship in Japan:

1. Students who are enrolled in a Graduate Degree program in Universities, Colleges, Junior colleges, & vocational schools.
2. Students who are enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree program in universities, colleges, junior colleges, and vocational schools in Japan OR Overseas.
3. Recent Graduates of such institutions are also eligible to apply.
4. Currently, Enrolled students must have approval from their home institution.  If you are currently a student, please confirm with your institution.
5. Bachelor Year 3 and 4 and Master Year 1 & 2 students are particularly encouraged to apply

Application Deadline

How to Apply

1. Applications to the program must be made through the online form, available here.
2. You can only submit your application after at least one recommendation letter is received in the application system.
3. You will receive an auto-notification that your application has been received. (Please check your settings to ensure you can receive emails from addresses [email protected]).
4. Following the application period, applications will be screened and selection will be completed.
5. Notification will be sent to successful applicants by 3 months after the submission deadline, at the latest. (In some cases applicants' email services/ settings prevent receipt of our notifications. Please confirm that your inbox is able to receive emails from [email protected] email addresses. We will not repeatedly send notifications. If you are not able to find a notification by the approximate notification date below, you can assume that you will not receive an offer for the current round.)
6. Following final confirmation of internship offers, all necessary arrangements will be made, in cooperation with the interns. Your cooperation is required for timely completion of logistics to begin the internship, including possible visa preparations and other necessary Japanese government documentation.
