The Engineering Leaders Scholarships (ELS) programme provides support for undergraduates in UK Higher Education Institutions, who display the potential to become leaders and innovators in engineering, and who want to become leadership role models for the next generation of engineers.
These scholarships help ambitious undergraduates, in engineering and related disciplines, to undertake an accelerated personal development programme, which will help them to gain the necessary skills to become engineering leaders, soon after graduating.
The Academy is committed to diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from women, and black, Asian, and other minority ethnic groups who are currently under-represented in engineering, including those studying at post-92 universities.
Applicants for the Engineering Leaders Scholarship can also apply for the Sir Ralph Robins Scholarship (SRRS).
Applications re-open October 2023
If you are interested in applying, please read the guidance notes under Application process. These will give you further information on the scheme and will better prepare you for completing an application.
Applicants wishing to apply for an enhanced award will find the necessary information in the guidance notes and will just need to complete the relevant section of the ELS application form.
Sir Ralph Robins scholarship
There is no separate application form for the Sir Ralph Robins Scholarship. However, you must apply for an Engineering Leaders Scholarship to be able to then apply for a Sir Ralph Robins Scholarship.
