SMU 2025 Li Ka Shing Endowed Scholarship

Hong Kong business magnate, investor and philanthropist Mr Li Ka-shing, who is also the Chairman of CK Hutchison Holdings, sponsors up to two scholarships each year to outstanding full-time undergraduates from mainland China or Hong Kong.

Li Ka Shing Endowed Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Li Ka Shing Endowed Scholarship

• Each scholarship covers full non-subsidised tuition (excl. GST), annual living and compulsory fees.
• The scholarship is tenable for the duration of the recipient's studies (up to four years), subject to the recipient's continued observance of the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions of award
• The recipient may be required to serve internship attachment with the Donor and/or its designated companies

Requirements for Li Ka Shing Endowed Scholarship Qualification

• Full-time incoming freshman hailing directly from Mainland China and Hong Kong
• Outstanding academic results
• Proficiency in English
• Good leadership skills and character records
• Active involvement in co-curricular activities and/or community service

Interview date, Process and Venue for Li Ka Shing Endowed Scholarship

The Recipient must not hold any other awards of similar nature during the tenure of the Award, except with the prior written approval of the University
