The Southampton University Corporate Civil Engineering Scheme (SUCCES) 2024-2025 application are open for first, second or third-year Civil Engineering student. Eligible students are invited to apply either in October or November.

Aim and Benefits of University Southampton Corporate Civil Engineering Scholarship Scheme

This Sholarship scheme "SUCCESS" offers:

• £1,650 for annual bursary support
• A summer work placement that lets you apply what you’ve learned and get valuable experience 
• Mentoring from a senior engineer in your sponsoring company

Requirements for University Southampton Corporate Civil Engineering Scholarship Scheme Qualification

You must be a first, second or third-year undergraduate Civil Engineering student and agree to:  

• Work at least 8 to 10 weeks for your sponsoring employer during summer vacation
• Write a progress report for your sponsor each term
• Achieve at least a 60 percent average in your degree each year

Interview date, Process and Venue for University Southampton Corporate Civil Engineering Scholarship Scheme

1. We screen applications to make sure they meet eligibility criteria, then send them to participating sponsors.
2. If your application is shortlisted you will be invited to interview and attend a selection day held on campus.
3. If you are successful you will be contacted soon after the interview.

You will receive the annual bursary payment when you complete your summer placement. This is usually paid in three equal instalments in October, January and April.

If you’re a first, second or third-year Civil Engineering student, you’ll be invited to apply for SUCCESS in either October or November.
