The Ariadne Nicolaeff Scholarship will support a talented student who has been accepted onto the PhD Literary Translation course. The scholarship is available to both Home and International Fees students.
The Scholarship will be awarded for an outstanding PhD project which involves a substantial piece of literary translation from Russian, with accompanying critical essay.
International students from all over the world who wish to undertake undergraduate studies at the University of East Anglia (UEA) are advised tou apply for the International Undergraduate Scholarships. The Scholarship will contribute a total of £26,000 towards PhD tuition fees and living expenses, paid as £9,000 for year 1 and £8,500 for years 2 and 3 (or pro rata equivalents for part-time study).
Applicants' acceptable first degrees would include Russian Language and Literature, Modern Languages, Translation Studies, English Literature, Creative Writing
