CBMR is a vibrant international research environment with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration. Our researchers share a common purpose as they seek to transform the basic understanding of the mechanisms involved in metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies. The Center’s research has resulted in seminal discoveries as to how genes, hormones, and environmental factors influence metabolic health and disease throughout life. Our group and research
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research’s vision is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms our basic understanding of the mechanisms that underlie metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies. We were established in 2010 and in 2017, we moved into new laboratories, offices, and meeting rooms in the Maersk Tower www.maersktower.ku.dk.

Aim and Benefits of University of Copenhagen PhD Scholarship

The University of Copenhagen will offer a monthly salary that begins around 26,957 DKK/approx. 3,618 EUR (April 2022 level) plus pension.

Requirements for University of Copenhagen PhD Scholarship Qualification

• To be eligible for the scholarship programme, applicants must have qualifications corresponding to a master’s degree related to the subject area of the project e.g., human biology, bioinformatics, molecular biology/biomedicine etc.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.

2. CV incl. education, experience, language skills and other skills relevant for the position
3. Certified copy of original Master of Science diploma and transcript of records in the original language, including an authorized English translation if issued in other language than English or Danish. If not completed, a certified/signed copy of a recent transcript of records or a written statement from the institution or supervisor is accepted. As a prerequisite for a PhD fellowship employment, your master’s degree must be equivalent to a Danish master’s degree.
