University of Hertfordshire Super Early Bird Payment Scholarship 2026

This £3,500 one-off scholarship is available to international postgraduate taught applicants joining the University for the first time on the UK campus in September 2026. The scholarship is applied to tuition fees and is not available in subsequent years of study.

Aim and Benefits of University of Hertfordshire Super Early Bird Payment Scholarship Undergraduate Scholarship

Requirements for University of Hertfordshire Super Early Bird Payment Scholarship Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

• Pay a minimum £5,000 tuition fee deposit by 30 April 2026 (funds must have cleared into the University’s bank account).
• Hold and accept an offer for a full-time, award-bearing postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2026.
• Be fully self-funded and pay fees directly to the University.

Not available for;

• MSc Nursing (all routes);
• MSc Paramedic Science;
• MSc Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging;
• MSc Physiotherapy;
• MSc Social Work;
• PgDip Outdoor Environmental Education;
• PgDip Bar Practice;
• LLM Bar Practice;
• LLM Solicitors Practice;
• Master of Public Health (all routes);
• OSPAP;
• pre-sessional English, Research degrees, HIC, online courses;
• undergraduate courses;
• University of Hertfordshire or HIC graduates.

Additional conditions

• Available only for first-time entrants in September 2026.
• Only available on entry for the first time to the University – not in subsequent years.
• Deferred applicants may qualify if they meet all conditions and paid the deposit by the deadline.
• Unless exceptionally approved by the University, cannot be combined with;
  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship;
  • 20% Herts Graduate Scholarship;
  • UG Tri Annual Scholarship;
  • MBBS Scholarship.

• Can be combined with the Full Payment Discount if full fees are paid by 12 October 2026.
• Scholarship is applied after registration (not deducted from the deposit).
• If tuition fees are already paid in full, the scholarship may be used towards university accommodation (excluding the refundable £150 accommodation deposit).
• Applicants must: have been offered and accepted a place on a full-time award-bearing University of Hertfordshire programme and be paying the full cost of the tuition fee from their own resources directly to the University of Hertfordshire, and not discounted or sponsored for any part of the fee by the University of Hertfordshire or an organisation such as an employer, charitable body or government department. (Any contribution by an external organisation to the student's living costs, or a contribution from the student's family to the fee or living costs, does not count as sponsorship under this scheme.).
• Candidates will be required to meet all conditions of registration before the scholarship is awarded.
• For students that withdraw (both student and university initiated); all full payment discounts will be removed. All other scholarships and discounts will be adjusted on a pro rata basis in line with the fee liability dates.
