David Walsh Memorial Scholarship was established to encourage students to undertake an Honours Program offered by the university. The scholarships are offered for study in any of the disciplinary areas available within the UNSW Business School. The David Walsh Memorial Scholarship is established for Medicine students to undertake Honours level study in developmental biology, genetics or biochemistry, and their relationship to birth defects.

Requirements for University of New South Wales Bachelors Qualification

• Applicants from all nationalities are eligible (except Australia).
• Applicants must be an undergraduate student proposing to undertake the one year Honours Program in the Bachelor of Medical Science, or the Bachelor of Science (Advanced Science) in developmental biology, genetics or biochemistry.
• Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic record.
