University of Otago Global Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of University of Otago Global Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarship

• $15,000

Requirements for University of Otago Global Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

• Application for all International Entrance Scholarships are normally open to students who have completed secondary (high) school, or at another approved institution that grants University Entrance either overseas or within New Zealand.

And

• Are intending to enrol or have enrolled in full-time undergraduate degree-level study, or in an approved foundation diploma programme, with the objective of progressing into an undergraduate degree at the University of Otago.

In addition to the above eligibility criteria, applicants must be:

• Intending to study at the University of Otago from 100-level (first year) through to degree* attainment;
• Applying either to study at the University of Otago from a nominated country, and/or to be undertaking a specified programme of study at Otago;
• Studying on campus throughout the duration of their studies.

*Please note that those enrolling into foundation certificate programmes are ineligible to receive this scholarship.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Otago Global Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarship

Selection of recipients will be based upon consideration of the following factors:

• Academic potential, as demonstrated by programme admission;
• Those who hold one of the following passports*:
  • Bangladesh
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Macau
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Sri Lanka
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

* The University reserves the right to amend the nominated countries and programmes of study lists at its discretion.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

• For those who have completed secondary school or Foundation level study in New Zealand, applications can be submitted through the online Entrance Scholarship application. Applicants must complete the first stages of enrolment through the student management system (eVision) during the Entrance Scholarship application period 1 July to 15 August.

or

• For those applying with a study background outside of New Zealand, every eligible applicant must agree in their application for study, through the student management system (eVision), that they would like to be considered for international scholarships at the University of Otago.
