University of Pavia Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship 2024-2025

In order to strengthen the presence of international students and foster the creation of an ever more global community, the University of Pavia is awarding 50 tuition fee waivers on a “First come first served” basis to students enrolling in one of our non-restricted access Degree Programs at the University of Pavia for academic year 2024/25.

 

About University of Pavia

The University of Pavia is one of the world’s oldest academic institutions, with its foundations existing as early as the 9th Century. An edict by King Lotharius recognizes that a higher education institution was already established in Pavia in 825, which was mainly devoted to the study of law. He then appointed it as the main education site for Northern Italy. Enlarged and renovated by the Duke of Milan, Gian Galeazzo Visconti, it became the University of the Duchy, officially established as a Studium Generale by Emperor Charles IV in 1361. Aim and Benefits of University of Pavia Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship

Beneficiaries, Amount and Duration:

  • In order to encourage international students to enroll at the University of Pavia, 50 tuition fee waivers will be awarded on a “First come first served” basis to students enrolling at the 1st year in non-restricted access Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs at the University of Pavia for academic year 2024/25 (see Attachment 1).
  • Without the submission of any financial documents, the holders of the tuition fee waiver will only pay the Enrollment Tax, a sum of 156 euros that covers the “Regional Tax for the Right to Higher Education” and a duty stamp.
  • The tuition fee waiver will be effective for the first year only and cannot be extended or renewed.

Requirements for University of Pavia Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship Qualification

The applicants must fulfill all the following requirements:

  1. Hold a non-Italian citizenship (either Non-EU or EU);
  2. Reside outside Italy;
  3. Possess a Secondary School diploma/Bachelor’s degree obtained outside Italy;
  4. Be admitted and enroll in a non-restricted access Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (see Attachment 1) at the University of Pavia for academic year 2024/25, paying the Enrollment Tax (156 euros) from 15th May to 23rdMay 2024.

Incompatibility

Tuition fee waivers are not compatible with:

  • Any other kind of scholarship/grant issued by the University of Pavia;
  • EDiSU Pavia scholarship: As the tuition fee waiver is already included in the EDiSU Pavia scholarship, EDiSU scholarship winners will automatically lose the tuition fee waiver offered by this call;
  • Study grants issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI);
  • Study grants issued under an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree;
  • Multiple or Joint degree programs for which tuition fees have to be paid to a partner University other than the University of Pavia

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Pavia Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship

  • In order to be eligible for the tuition fee waiver, candidates must fulfill the above-mentioned requirements.
  • The award of the tuition fee waivers will be made on a “First come, first served” basis, considering the chronological order of the Enrollment Tax payment (156 euros).
  • The winners will be notified by email within the first days of June 2024.

How to Apply

Interested and qualified? Go to University of Pavia on apply.unipv.eu to apply

If you hold an Italian qualification title, DO NOT APPLY through this platform. You must check the Instructions at the University Website link.

If you have been awarded a non-Italian diploma/degree, please APPLY HERE following the instructions below:

1) Click on ‘Sign in’/‘Register’

2) Select the degree program/programs by using the search tool above

If you have never registered before, click on ‘I am a new applicant’ and insert your email address (please insert an email address you regularly check and do not sign up more than once using different email addresses).

A single PIN CODE will appear on the screen. Please go to your email inbox, find the email and click the link in order to continue the registration process, type the PIN code and set the password.

3) Fill in with your datas. Click on ‘Save’ to save your application, even if incomplete. You may save your application at any point to return to it later.

4) Complete the tasks by uploading the required documents.

5) Pay the application fee and wait 24hs to have the payment status updated.

6) To Complete your application, click ‘SUBMIT’. Once your application is submitted, attached documents cannot be deleted or replaced. If necessary, new documents can be added after the submission (ie. Final degree diploma, language certificate). Please always remember to click on submit after any change or additional document added.
