This Scholarship was founded in 2018 by a gift from Dr Vince FitzGerald AO, the FitzGerald Scholarship is maintained by an endowment fund which is open to further gifts.

• Economics

Requirements for FitzGerald Scholarship Qualification

You're eligible if you:

• Enrol full-time in the Bachelor of Economics (Honours); and 
• Have completed the Bachelor of Economics from UQ with a major in Economics and Public Policy or Quantitative Analysis; and 
• Have obtained an overall GPA of at least 6.25 in the Specified Courses in the Bachelor of Economics - 
  • ECON2010
  • ECON2020 
  • ECON2030
  • ECON2040
  • ECON2050 
  • ECON2105
  • ECON2300
  • ECON3010
  • ECON3020
  • ECON3330
  • ECON3350 or ECON3360
• Do not hold another scholarship that the Head deems similar.

Interview date, Process and Venue for FitzGerald Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to the student with the greatest merit as demonstrated by academic achievement in the specified courses. 

Where 2 or more candidates have the same GPA, actual marks achieved in each of the specified courses will be used to determine the Scholarship allocation.
