University of Queensland 2025 The Hyun Family Korea Scholarship

Applications are now open for University of Queensland 2025 The Hyun Family Korea Scholarship. Established in 2022 by Hanwoori Restaurant Pty Ltd and The University of Queensland to encourage a new generation of Australian Korean Studies scholars to undertake exchange, broadening their understanding of Korean language, history and culture and imbuing their future careers with these learnings.

Requirements for The Hyun Family Korea Scholarship Qualification

You're eligible if you:

• Are enrolled in a major or field of study in Korean at UQ
• Do not hold another travel grant or scholarship 
• Have not previously held the Scholarship and;
• Have been accepted into the UQ Abroad Program at a host university in Korea

Interview date, Process and Venue for The Hyun Family Korea Scholarship

We'll consider:

• The value of the proposed travel to your future success in the discipline as demonstrated by a personal statement in your application; 
• Your academic cabability and future academic potential; 
• Your demonstrated commitment to the Korean language, either through extracurricular or academic work; 
• Your interest in journalism, communications or other media-related fields; 
• Any other evidence which may be deemed relevant to your future success in your field of study.
