Requirements for UQ International High Achievers Award Qualification
You're eligible if you:
- Are an international student.
- Are a passport holder of Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Kenya, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand or an eligible country in Europe^ or Latin America*.
^Europe: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, United Kingdom.
*Latin America: Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Bolivia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Haiti, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Saint-Barthelemy, Saint-Martin, Jamaica, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago.
And you:
- Have applied to study full-time at UQ commencing in 2025 and have received an unconditional offer in an eligible program. This includes most undergraduate and postgraduate programs with some exceptions. Check the scholarship terms and conditions (PDF, 167KB) to find out if your program is eligible.
- Have satisfied the program entry rank and English language proficiency requirements.
- Have achieved a competitive score as determined by the University among the pool of offer holders for programs in their commencement semester.
- Will enrol full-time.

You don't need to apply for this scholarship. When you apply to study a program at UQ, you're automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
