Wattle Range Council Hon Terry Roberts MLC Memorial Student Scholarship 2025 at Flinders University

A generous donation by the Wattle Range Council has enabled the establishment of the Wattle Range Council Hon Terry Roberts MLC Memorial Student Scholarship to recognize the contribution made by the late Hon Terry Roberts MLC to South Australia, the Wattle Range Council region and the Millicent community. The scholarship has been established to assist students from the Wattle Range Council area to commence undergraduate study at Flinders University.

Wattle Range Council Hon Terry Roberts MLC Memorial Student Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Wattle Range Council Hon Terry Roberts MLC Memorial Student Scholarship

Subject to the availability of funds, there will be two scholarships awarded annually valued at $5,000 each. Payment will be made in two equal instalments, after each main semester census date.

Requirements for Wattle Range Council Hon Terry Roberts MLC Memorial Student Scholarship Qualification

The successful recipients must:

• Be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia; and
• Normally reside within the boundaries of the Wattle Range Council.  See the Local Government Association of South Australia website for more information on the localities covered by this council; and
• Have applied through SATAC for entry to the University in the most recent admissions period; and
• Have completed the requirements for the South Australian Certificate of Education; and
• Be in their first year of higher education study and be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate course of study at Flinders University; and
• Be able to demonstrate financial hardship.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Wattle Range Council Hon Terry Roberts MLC Memorial Student Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded based on demonstrated financial need and academic merit, as determined by the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

Selection will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration Services and a recommendation made to Wattle Range Council for its endorsement.
