Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme 2027 at University of Oxford

Oxford Saïd provides a contribution towards the funding package offered to scholars on the MBA programme. 

Managed by the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme cultivates the leaders of tomorrow.

It provides students from developing and emerging economies with a fully-funded scholarship, combined with a comprehensive programme of leadership development, long-term mentoring, and networking. The Leadership Programme is a unique part of these scholarships. 

Applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence on completion of their studies. You should be able to demonstrate a connection between your MBA and your long-term career objectives, explaining how you see your professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in your country of origin, or at a wider regional or international level.

• Full course fees and a grant for living costs of at least £21,805, plus a comprehensive programme of leadership development, long-term mentoring and networking.

Requirements for Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme MBA Scholarship Qualification

The scholarships aim to support outstanding university graduates and professionals, mainly from developing and emerging economies, and who would not otherwise be able to support themselves to study at Oxford.  

To be considered for the scholarship you must meet all of the criteria below. These will be assessed during the selection process, including using your graduate application form, your Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and (if relevant) your interview.

• You must be applying to start a new full-time graduate course at Oxford.
• You should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed.
• You must be able to demonstrate a connection between your subject of study and your longer-term career objectives, explaining how you see your professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in your country of origin or at a wider regional or international level.
• This scholarship is not open to applications from candidates who hold deferred offers to start in 2027-28.
• Students currently at Oxford are not eligible to apply unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme MBA Scholarship

• Scholarship application forms will be reviewed after each admissions stage.
• Applicants will receive an update on the status of their scholarship application shortly after admissions decisions have been made.
• Final shortlisting will take place in late March, with selected candidates invited to interview in late April or early May.

How to Apply

By the deadline, candidates must:

• Submit a complete MBA or MFE application.
• Tick the 'Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme' checkbox in the 'Funding' section of the programme application.
• Upload the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement form, as part of the programme application.
