The purpose of this scholarship is to support high achieving students commencing a Bachelor of Engineering (Maritime) (Honours) degree. The scholarship is funded by a donation from EJC Carr & Associates.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. One scholarship will be available per annum, subject to funding. Each scholarship will have a value of $2000.
Applicants must:
Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata for a maximum of 2 years.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Selection will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration.
Tenure
The scholarship will be valid for one year.
Leave
Leave from the scholarship can be taken concurrently with leave from study for a maximum of one semester.
