Flinders University 2023 Business, Government and Law Honours Scholarship for Indigenous Students

The College of Business, Government and Law has established an Indigenous Honours Scholarship to promote reconciliation by furthering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community participation, retention and success in higher education.

The scholarships are funded by the College of Business, Government and Law and will continue whilst there is sufficient funding. 

About Flinders University

Aim and Benefits of Business, Government and Law Honours Scholarship

Each scholarship will have a value of $5000 paid in equal instalments after the census date of each semester. The number of scholarships will depend on the funding available. 


Requirements for Business, Government and Law Honours Scholarship Qualification

Applicants must:

  • Be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
  • Identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
  • Be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live or have lived; and
  • Be currently completing or have completed an undergraduate degree; and
  • Be accepted into an honours program, or the final 36 units of a four year Honours program in the College of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University for the specified academic year. 

Interview date, Process and Venue for Business, Government and Law Honours Scholarship

The Scholarship will be awarded based on:

  • Academic merit; and
  • The quality of the proposed Honours research project.

Selection will be made by a Committee within the College of Business, Government and Law.
