The Woolf Fisher Scholarships were established in 2003 by the Woolf Fisher Trust and are administered by Universities New Zealand – Te Pokai Tara. Scholarships are worth approximately $70,000 a year for up to four years and are awarded annually to outstanding New Zealand graduate students for doctoral study at Cambridge University.
The Trust's main objective is that Woolf Fisher Scholars will become leaders in their fields and make a significant contribution to New Zealand.

A maintenance allowance of £21,500 sterling per year for each year of full time study; an annual economy non-transferrable airfare to and from London, and the approved University Composition Fee which includes the College Fee.
It is estimated that each Scholarship will have a value of approximately $70,000 per year.
Up to three scholarships are awarded each year.

No application will be considered from a student already living outside of New Zealand and no award will be made for post-doctoral study.
