Flinders Law graduate Eugenia (Jenny) Matthews of Matthews Lawyers has established the Scholarship to support students living with a disability that impacts their learning and are keen to pursue their educational goals. The scholarship aims to help students overcome learning difficulties and succeed in their law degree.
The Scholarship is funded by a donation from Eugenia Matthews. One scholarship will be available per year for the duration of the funding.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Each Scholarship will have a value of $3,000 paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
Applicants for the Scholarship must:
*This includes, but is not limited to, a specific learning disability such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and auditory processing disorder, and other disabilities which impact learning such as ADHD and autism.
Selection Criteria
The Scholarship will be awarded based on the following factors:
Scholarship selection will be made by Flinders University’s Health, Counselling and Disability Services in conjunction with Student Finance, in accordance with approved University procedures.
