MBA in Global Leadership Merit Awards are intended to encourage and support strong academic performance and leadership potential in the MBA in Global Leadership (MBA-GL) Program. The number and value of these awards vary, depending on annual funding levels. First and second year MBA-GL students are eligible to apply.

Scholarship applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for an award scholarship:
Applicants must be enrolled in the MBA-GL Program
Applicants must complete and submit the scholarship application package
Preference will be given to candidates who have not received other graduate student awards that, combined, exceed 50% of the Program’s tuition and fees
Selected by McDougall Faculty of Business Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee will consider the applicant’s academic record to date in the MBA-GL program and leadership inside and outside the classroom. The Committee will also evaluate the applicant’s scholarship essay and, in some cases, may conduct an interview.
Applicants are required to complete and submit the attached scholarship application form
Applicants must also prepare and submit a short essay (maximum of 500 words). The essay should outline why the applicant believes they should receive an MBA-GL Merit Award, how they have exhibited leadership in the MBA-GL Program and beyond, how they have benefited from the Program thus far, and how their involvement and learning through the Program will further develop their leadership. Applicants are encouraged to review the selection criteria and address these points within their letter of interest in a creative and persuasive manner.
Selection will be based on grades and the confidence of the committee that the chosen applicants will continue to display exceptional leadership and be actively engaged in the MBA-GL Program. In some cases, the selection committee may conduct interviews with applicants.
