The University of Southampton is a research university in Southampton, England. The university's origins date back to the founding of the Hartley Institution in 1862. The amount we award you will depend on your application.
Scholarships for undergraduate study will cover each year of undergraduate study.
Scholarships for postgraduate study will cover the first year of postgraduate study.
There are 25 scholarships available in total, (10 100% fee awards and 15 £10,000 fee awards).
The Sustainable Development Goals adopted in 2015 by the United Nations will determine the course of the global social, ecological and economic agenda until 2030. If we are to successfully achieve them, we need to be able to work across traditional disciplines and we therefore encourage scholarship applications from all eligible programmes of study.
We will only consider applicants who have an offer to study at the University of Southampton.

The Southampton Presidential International Scholarship is not available to students studying:
This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful.?
There are 5 stages to the shortlisting process. ?
We may also shortlist applicants from Least Developed Countries, Low Income or Lower Middle Income countries.
The 10 applicants with the highest score will get 100% tuition fee waivers.
The next 15 applicants with the highest score will get £10,000 off their tuition fees.
The decision of the scholarship panel is final.

The scholarship is open for applicants from w/c 23 October 2023 until 5pm (UK time) on 12 April 2024.
We will contact you with the outcome of your application by the end of May 2024.

As part of your application, you will need to answer 4 questions on how your studies at Southampton can make a contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
