In 2023, the Gabo Foundation will be a solid, innovative and sustainable institution, globally recognized for contributing to better journalism in Ibero-American countries and for its territorial impact, in cultural incidence and educational innovation with children and youth, in Cartagena and the Colombian Caribbean .

- Independence: We act autonomously and freely, faithful to the legacy of Gabriel García Márquez, based on journalistic ethics and the commitment to the search for a better society, according to the framework of human rights and the principles of sustainable development.
- Respect: We are careful with teamwork and relationships with interest groups, and we recognize ourselves, beyond hierarchical roles, as an organization made up of equal citizens, with rights and duties, appreciating their humanity and reinforcing their qualities. .
- Cheveridad: We work with the camaraderie, good humor and festive spirit that come from our DNA to take on challenges with optimism and transmit empathy, with our own style and language, towards all interest groups in the different Ibero-American and Caribbean countries .
