Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is excited to announce our annual DevCon Professional Development Conferences. DevCon increases TMCF’s capacity to identify and develop high potential HBCU talent. Leveraging an Early Talent (Freshmen & Sophomores) model, the DevCon serves as a leadership incubator aimed to equip students with fundamental business skills and professional competencies through leadership development, career readiness, and targeted tech upskilling; while providing a pipeline of HBCU talent to corporate hiring managers seeking to advance company goals.
DevCon's regional approach provides TMCF an opportunity to deepen institutional partnerships through cooperative regional marketing efforts aimed at growing enrollments and student outcomes.
Program Objectives:
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is an American non-profit organization that supports and represents nearly 300,000 students attending its 47 member-schools that include public historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), medical schools, and law schools. Identify as a Freshman or Sophomore for the 2024-2025 academic year (2027 or 2028 graduates)
Attend a public or private HBCU in Delaware, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., or West Virginia
Maintain good academic standing
No disciplinary infractions on academic record
Must display leadership potential
DevCon 2025 for Zone 1 schools will take place in National Harbor (Potamac), Maryland March 19 - 23, 2025.
The application closes on January 6, 2025. Students are accepted on a rolling bases.
